Helping Hands & Hope-Filled Hearts
Whether St. Christopher’s is constructing homes, establishing households for immigrant families, taking the Eucharist to the homebound, teaching our children, feeding the hungry, or serving at the altar, we’re intentional in our role as “Christ Bearers.”
Talent, treasure, compassion and commitment — we’ve been given a lot and we invite all to share our enthusiasm to “give back” as ministers of Christ’s kingdom.

Altar Guild
Whether caring for the vessels, linens and vestments or ordering supplies and arranging the flowers, our altar guild plays a critical role in caring for the preparation of our sanctuary for liturgical celebrations.

Buildings & Grounds
Our expansive facilities require careful monitoring and continuous maintenance and repair — often by combining our own sweat and expertise with that of the hired pros.

Children & Youth
The youngest among us receive care throughout our parish life — from Sunday school and child care to social events (like hay rides and Easter egg hunts) and Vacation Bible School. And, we offer a variety of opportunities to engage our youth, through education, service projects and social events.

Faith Formation
A lifetime of learning is our faith formation commitment, including structured education and outreach for our children and youth and a variety of opportunities for adults — from Bible study to days of retreat to the weekly St. Christopher’s Forum.

Fellowship
St. Christopher’s is where you “grab a plate and celebrate.” Which we do each Sunday after Holy Eucharist and throughout the year — uniting liturgical feasts and feasting along with evenings of bridge, our silent auction and fundraising dinners, parish picnics, among other gatherings.

Finance & Stewardship
Three diligent committees — Endowment, Finance and Stewardship — serve our parish by raising funds, managing the endowment, monitoring budgets, making financial decisions and advising our Vestry.

Governance
Our Vestry is comprised of members elected from the parish roll and, with our Wardens and Rector, meets monthly to conduct the temporal “business of the parish.” And while our work is temporal, the prayer that underpins our deliberations and actions is richly spiritual.

Library
Our library boasts hundreds of volumes, continually updated and available on loan, for the curious or the serious student of our Episcopal faith and the world that surrounds us.

Liturgy
Our Worship & Liturgy Committee is comprised of representatives from various committees as well as clergy and any who have an interest in planning and supporting our rich liturgical life.

Outreach
St. Christopher’s Outreach & Justice Committee seeks to educate our parish about the many opportunities and obligations to serve God’s creation while supporting a broad array of charities with time, treasure and sweat equity.

Pastoral Care
Charity begins at home and our system of parish support provides a spectrum of care — from welcoming newcomers and visiting the sick to comforting those who mourn and carrying the Eucharist to those hospitalized or homebound.

Quilters
For decades, St. Christopher’s women have gathered each week to design patterns, cut and sew blocks, thread and baste quilts for thousands of souls — from the poor and homeless to our graduates and infants at baptism.
