Lectionary Link: https://www.lectionarypage.net/WeekdaysOfLent/FriAfterAshWed.html Contributor: Scott Crow We are now two years into the pandemic, which has separated us from so much. Early in the pandemic we had the habit of streaming church from the National Cathedral, which was good, but in the end, I found I am not really a TV church person. Then of course we had parking lot church, and I found I actually am somewhat of an outdoor church person. In this last year, it has been great to return in person, but to my surprise, I have also been gravitating to a particular kind of streaming church: Evensong. I find the several readings, several prayers, sung psalms and anthems and often a hymn to be calming and peaceful. This Lent, my Lenten practice is to watch/listen to Evensong daily. There are many wonderful options online: our own St Mark's Cathedral, The National Cathedral, St Thomas 5th Avenue, King's College Cambridge, St Paul's, or York Minster (probably my favorite). I encourage you to give it a try.
