Karla Standridge Cole
Director of Music

Karla Cole has been the music director at St. Christopher’s since 2010. She enjoys the diversity of our music program and the challenge of working with amateur musicians from four years old to, well, older. Karla’s varied career path from academia through musical theatre and music education and logically (sort of) to sacred music has blessed her with infinite patience (for other people) and not a little creative inspiration. Karla actually holds degrees in piano performance from Texas Wesleyan and Drake University with doctoral study at the University of Iowa. There was also a music education degree in there somewhere and a lot of organ lessons at the insistence of her mother. She has earned the Bishop’s Certificate in Church Music and has sung with Consortium Carissimi, the Gregorian Singers and Singers in Accord. Additionally, she is a professional accompanist and enjoys playing chamber music with her musician friends around town.

Chad O'Leary
Director of Youth Ministries

Chad grew up in White Bear Lake and graduated from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota with a undergraduate focus in biology.  He later obtained his master's degree from Saint Mary's University in theology and is currently finishing a second master's degree in education from the College of St. Scholastica.  Before arriving at St. Christopher's in 2013, Chad served as youth minister at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Bloomington, campus minister at Totino-Grace High School, and as a coordinator of youth ministry for the Episcopal Church in Minnesota.  Believing that strong relationships help all youth and can help erase the achievement gap seen in our schools, Chad also teaches biology at Twin Cities Academy on the east side of St. Paul.  Chad lives in St. Paul with his husband Troy and enjoys being outdoors, his five cats (Snurp, Hattie, Hobbes, Eleanor & Sophie), travel, and hunting for the St. Paul Winter Carnival Medallion.  He is an award-winning baker at the Minnesota State Fair and has been to all 50 states.

Marion matches her expertise with passion and vibrancy by developing curriculum and program strategies, training educators and facilitators, and incorporating children into all aspects of parish life.
— My goal is to provide quality programming that encourages children to develop their relationship with God, the church community and the world around them.
