A Green Summer
After taking the summer off, the Green Team had our first meeting of the program year in September. We would like to thank all those who worked in the giving garden, contributing to our most productive year yet. We donated more than 700 pounds of fresh produce to Keystone Community Food Shelf.
We would also like to thank all those who contributed to the St. Christopher's LED light bulb fundraiser. We were able to meet our goal, and will now be replacing our lights with much more energy efficient bulbs, which will help our budget as well as reduce our carbon footprint.
The Green Team meets monthly, at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday, to discuss and explore new ways to reduce waste, recycle materials and become more energy efficient as a faith community. If you have any thoughts about how we at St. Christopher's can become even better stewards of our earth, please let a member of the Green Team know.
You are invited to join the Green Team. Members include Joel Norton, Mary Friend, Larry Jones, Jean Crow, Allison Jensen, Jay and Jan Fillmore, Karen Hartman, Lucas Monahan, Becky Lucas and Robin Monahan.
