We gather as beloved community to share the Collect:
Almighty Father, whose dear Son, on the night before he suffered, instituted the Sacrament of his Body and Blood: Mercifully grant that we may receive it thankfully in remembrance of Jesus Christ our Lord, who in these holy mysteries gives us a pledge of eternal life; and who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

The Last Gift
After Jesus washed the disciples’ feet and dined with them, he asked them a question, “Do you know what I, your Lord and Master, have done to you?”

He then answered His own question by saying, “I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done."

As we remember Christ’s last night as flesh on earth, we cherish this gift:

Peace is my last gift to you, my own peace I now leave with you;
peace which the world cannot give, I give to you.

We gather as beloved community,
We gather to receive Jesus’ last gift,
We gather as beloved community,
To receive Jesus’ gift of His own peace,
We gather as beloved community,
To receive peace which only Jesus can give,
We gather as beloved community,
To receive the gift that only Jesus can give to us.

I give you a new commandment: Love one another as I have
loved you.

We gather as beloved community,
We gather to receive a new commandment together,
We gather as beloved community,
To Love one another as Jesus loves us

Peace is my last gift to you, my own peace I now leave with you;
peace which the world cannot give, I give to you.

We gather as beloved community,
We gather to receive Jesus’ last gift,
We gather as beloved community,
To receive Jesus’ gift of His own peace,
We gather as beloved community,
To receive peace which only Jesus can give,
We gather as beloved community,
To receive the gift that only Jesus can give to us.
